This is my most recent drawing finished in November 2014. The bird represents me returning back from my death experience. The veil between the living and the dead has reopened to allow me to go back to the African woman, my Mama Eaton, who saved my life by singing to me her Medicine Song. It was incredibly satisfying to draw the beauty of the veil. I spent about 30 hours on this image. Drawing the veil felt like a sacred act. This image will be part of my upcoming book detailing my experience to the other side and back. I invite you to follow my page as I will continue to give updates on the book progress and public readings.
I would love to hear from you, please feel free to message me. When I get closer to publishing my book I will be touring doing book reading, art slide show and Singing Medicine. If you have a group who would be interested let's start a conversation! Robin is a Visionary Artist, Author, Craniosacral Therapist, and does Singing Medicine with her husband John Utter. She lives in Olympia, WA. If you would like to learn more about my upcoming Memoir on my experience as a child of dying and coming back to life, please join my sign up list on my website www.RobinLandsong.com. I will give you excerpts of the book, notify about progress toward publishing, dates of public readings, live art showings where I narrate the story, and Singing...

I love the symmetry of this piece, it reminds me of a shell opening to pour out the light of the world and lovingly accept us to this earth.
Robin Aisha Landsong replied:
Awesome perspective Darilyn, that is how it felt to return back to life after my death experience.
