Artist's Description

This drawing is to honor an African woman who cared for me. She was killed during the Rhodesian Bush War. I barely survived next to her. This represents her crossing through the veil becoming free to be connected to all of the universe, all of life. The small turtle represents me almost dying but coming back to life. I got to glimpse where she was going on the other side of the veil, but I returned to life. These events took place in 1977 in what is now called Zimbabwe. I do these drawings to honor those that I loved.
